John Edwards' comments on NBC's morning show Tuesday morning (I think that was the day) further support what many of us have been saying about the sorry state of separation of powers between the legislative and judicial branches. Edwards stated that the court's role was to set policy for the country. That is NOT their role, but that is the role most of those on the left side of the political equation want, and the judges on the left has happily obliged that desire. I was glad to finally see a lawyer on the left admit they are attempting to bypass the legislative branch to get what they want policy wise since they aren't winning in the legislatures. Justice Scalia's commentary a week ago on the status of the judicial system was spot on.
Edward's comments support the argument and provide further evidence that we really do live in a monarchy, only Bush isn't the king. Its those damn lawyers.
Shakesaere had it right: first thing we should do is kill all the lawyers!!
